About this file

This is a Description of Supplies document for a federal procurement of an industrial abrasive water jet cutting system. The Air Force Metals Technology fabrication environment requires one complete heavy-duty, industrial-grade CNC abrasive water jet cutting system with all associated components, capable of continuous operation and precision cutting of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, composites, and specialty materials for aircraft maintenance and structural fabrication. The system must include a minimum 10-foot by 7-foot cutting table/work area, high-pressure intensifier pump, CNC controller with multi-axis precision cutting capability, abrasive delivery system, water filtration and recycling system, integrated operating software compatible with standard CAD/CAM file formats, and all startup consumables, maintenance supplies, and replacement wear components necessary for full functionality upon installation. The equipment shall meet applicable commercial and industrial safety standards without creating heat-affected zones, material warping, or thermal distortion.

The delivery requirement is 120 calendar days from Approval to Proceed, with delivery to 14300 Fang Dr., Jacksonville, FL 32218 during regular work hours (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday). The receiving point of contact is TSGT Timmy Jones C. Arazas at timmyjones.arazas@us.af.mil, (904) 741-7292. The vendor must provide on-site or virtual operator and maintenance training for assigned personnel, all technical manuals, user documentation, software licensing, warranty information, and technical support materials. The related federal contract opportunity is a sources-sought solicitation (W50S6Y26QA013) issued by the 125th Fighter Wing under the Department of the Army Florida Army National Guard, dated 26 March 2026.

DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES

Water Jet Date 26 March 2026

1. DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS TO BE PROCURED:

a. General Description: Water Jet

b. Characteristics of these Items: The supplies to be acquired consist of one complete industrial CNC abrasive water jet cutting system and all associated components necessary for safe, full-capability, operational use within an Air Force Metals Technology fabrication environment. The system shall be a heavy-duty industrial-grade unit designed for continuous operation and capable of precision cutting ferrous and non-ferrous metals, composites, and specialty materials utilized in aircraft maintenance and structural fabrication operations.

The water jet system shall include, at a minimum, the following components: CNC water jet cutting table, high-pressure intensifier pump, cutting head assembly, abrasive delivery system, integrated controller and operating software, water filtration and recycling system, plumbing and electrical connections, hoses, fittings, startup consumables, maintenance supplies, replacement wear components, and all equipment required for full system functionality upon installation.

The machine shall have a minimum cutting table/work area of 10 feet by 7 feet and be capable of supporting full-sheet material processing for aircraft fabrication and repair requirements. The system shall be capable of precision cutting material thicknesses commonly associated with Metals Technology operations, including aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, titanium, copper, and composite materials. The equipment shall utilize abrasive water jet cutting technology capable of producing precision cuts without creating heat-affected zones, material warping, or thermal distortion.

The system shall include a high-pressure pump rated for industrial production use with a minimum operating pressure suitable for precision metal cutting applications. CNC controls shall support multi-axis precision cutting operations, programmable cutting paths, repeatable production capability, and compatibility with standard CAD/CAM file formats utilized in industrial fabrication environments.

The acquisition shall also include on-site or virtual operator and maintenance training for assigned personnel covering system operation, operational safety procedures, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and proper startup and shutdown procedures. Vendor shall provide all required technical manuals, user documentation, software licensing, warranty information, and technical support materials necessary for sustainment and long-term operation.

The equipment shall meet applicable commercial and industrial safety standards and be suitable for installation and continuous use within a Department of the Air Force Metals Technology shop environment supporting aircraft maintenance, structural repair, rapid fabrication, and mission-essential manufacturing operations.
