a. Individual arch segments must be constructed according to the attached drawings (See details for Section Types 1, 2, & 3).

b. A minimum of 4000 PSI, not to exceed 7000 PSI, compressive strength concrete at 28 days per ASTM C39

c. Auger cast grout or aggregate mix sufficient to provide proper consolidation with required reinforcing covers must be used and mix design sent to USACE for approval prior to placement

d. All concrete shall conform to ASTM C94

e. Reinforcing bars shall be deformed type conforming to ASTM A615 Grade 60

f. Welded wire reinforcement shall conform to ASTM A185, minimum lap and embedment to be the greater of one cross section wire spacing plus 2” or 6”, whichever is greater

g. Concrete coverage of reinforcement shall be a minimum of 0.5”, not exceeding 0.75”

h. 7 and 28 day concrete compressive strength break data must be provided (3 breaks at each day using

4x8 cylinders). Three additional test cylinders must be cast and sent to ERDC for follow-on testing.

i. If cold joints are required, details shall be provided to technical POC

j. Section will be inspected upon delivery to ensure no structural cracking is present and overall dimensions are within a tolerance of +/- 0.5”. Thicknesses must be within +/- 0.375”.

k. Lifting eyes/supports must be included (not detailed). Plans must be submitted to technical POC prior to concrete placement. Adequate supports and shoring must be included during shipment to prevent cracking of concrete section(s). Adequate lifting points must be provided in each section to lift in their vertical orientation for final placement.

l. Offload rigging, including necessary slings and lifting hardware must be provided

PRICING: The contractor shall provide pricing for one complete unit (composed of 5 individual segments, Types 1, 2, & 3) as specified in the requirement with pricing for an additional unit as an option. Pricing must include shipping costs to delivery location.

DELIVERY Details: Concrete unit(s) must be delivered NLT June 10, 2022. A minimum notice of 14 days is required ahead of delivery. USACE will offload concrete sections on site. An on-site truck wait time of 2hrs must be allotted. Inspection will be made upon delivery to ensure dimensions are within tolerance and no structural cracking is present.

DELIVERY LOCATION: ETF Test Site (previously known as Range 16), Fort Polk Military Installation.

POC will be Joshua Payne, 601-634-2716, or William Griffiths (769-231-6957).
