About this file
This document is an email exchange between Katherine Hawthorne, Senior Buyer for Greenville County Procurement Services, and Mollie Hodges, Code Enforcement Supervisor for the County of Greenville, discussing clarification of pricing terminology for a TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) Clearance Sampling component of an upcoming asbestos services contract. The email conversation centers on how additional sampling events should be priced and documented, specifically whether the pricing should be structured as a "Lump Sum per Containment" or "per Sampling Event" if the abatement contractor fails initial TEM clearance criteria.
The email suggests a potential modification to the pricing sheet to more accurately reflect the compensation structure for air monitoring services, with Mollie Hodges agreeing that changing the terminology to "per sampling event" would be appropriate after the second question was posed. This communication appears to be part of the pre-solicitation clarification process for the Greenville County asbestos surveys and air monitoring services contract, which is scheduled to start on July 1, 2025, with a potential one-year contract and four possible annual renewals.

Yes, after the 2nd question was posed, I think we should change to reflect per sampling event.

Hi Mollie, See below.
Previous Question: At the bottom of the Pricing Table, are you asking for total lump sum cost for TEM clearance samples? In other words, this should not include the daily rate, correct?
Our Answer: Vendor should include pricing for TEM Clearance Sampling per Containment Lump Sum. The Pricing Sheet has been updated. *We changed the pricing sheet to “TEM Clearance Sampling per Containment” New Question: TEM Clearance Sampling per Containment is requested as a Lump Sum. Should the abatement contractor fail the TEM clearance criteria, how will the Air Monitoring Services provider be compensated for additional sampling events? Should this not read "TEM Clearance Sampling per Sampling Event"?
**Do we need to change the pricing sheet to “TEM Clearance Sampling per Sampling Event”
