About this file

This is a specification document issued by the State of Connecticut, Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) for the procurement of northern pike fingerlings. The solicitation requests bids for fingerlings meeting specific biological and quality standards, including requirements for fish size, health status, and delivery specifications. The document outlines detailed technical specifications that suppliers must meet, including water quality parameters for transport, minimum survival rates upon delivery, and documentation requirements for fish health certification. Bidders are required to demonstrate their capability to supply fingerlings that comply with all specified standards and to provide documentation of the source and genetic characteristics of the stock.

The procurement includes pricing requirements for the fingerlings based on quantity and delivery specifications. Suppliers must provide detailed cost breakdowns that account for the fish themselves, packaging, transportation, and any associated handling charges. The specification document emphasizes the importance of fish quality and survival rates, indicating that pricing will be evaluated alongside the ability to meet stringent biological standards. Bidders must be prepared to deliver fingerlings that meet state standards for aquaculture and fisheries management purposes, with all accompanying health certifications and documentation required prior to delivery acceptance.
