C.1 SCOPE OF WORK

The Government of the District of Columbia (District), Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP), on behalf of the Department of Transportation (DDOT) seeks a Contractor to carry out a final parking meter coin collection, install a prevention mechanism to avoid future coin collections, and deposit collected coins into an approved District account.

C.2 BACKGROUND

The District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) Curbside Management Division is responsible for curbside revenue. The prior revenue collection history includes an average number of 3,000 to 5,100 meters collected per month with an average monthly revenue of $55,000 to $85,000, including cash and coins. The anticipated coin collection under this contract is projected to be between $250,000 and $350,000 for single space meters and $300,000 to $400,000 for multi-space meters.

This effort shall be external to any current, pending, or executed coin operations with the District and is designed to transition meters to a fully digital payment system, ensuring seamless enforcement and operational efficiency.
