About this file
This is an Industry Day guidance template for the DARPA Surgical Competition (DSC). The template prescribes a single-slide presentation format (landscape PDF only) to be delivered at the Industry Day event scheduled for September 22, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM Eastern Time, held in-person with virtual attendance options. Advance registration is required for participation.
The template requires presenting teams to include the following information on their single slide: principal investigator name and institution, team composition and existing partners, relevant experience, and institutional assets and core facilities. Teams must identify their strength areas from specified technical domains including robotics, pre-hospital trauma care, autonomous devices, algorithm development, surgical end-effectors, teleoperation, and perception/sensing. The submission must include a clear abstract describing project objectives and proposed approaches to DSC, along with contact information (email and phone). A graphical abstract or illustration is optional but encouraged to visually summarize the specific problem being addressed, project objectives, and team approach and strengths. Additionally, teams must articulate their teaming needs by identifying technical challenges requiring collaborators, remaining expertise gaps, and needed research facilities and capabilities. All submissions must contain unclassified, non-proprietary information only, with no transitions, videos, or audio elements.
