About this file
This document is an amendment to a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) special notice soliciting proposals for the Keystone research program. The amendment modifies the full proposal due date from February 25, 2021 to March 4, 2021 at 4:00 PM ET. The special notice is seeking proposals to identify the first biological responses within milliseconds to seconds after militarily relevant traumatic brain injury from blasts or unconventionally acquired brain injury from ultrasound and electromagnetic sources. Proposals are encouraged to leverage advances in high spatial and temporal resolution molecular and imaging measurements for investigating the initial biological responder(s) post-injury at the millisecond to second timescale. The objectives are to identify the first biological responder(s) and determine if the response differs depending on the injury source. Proposals may address multiple injury models and are initially encouraged for in vitro systems but ultimately must include an in vivo brain injury model.
