About this file
This is an Industry Day Special Notice for the Next Generation Hypersonic Cruise Missile (NGHCM) program issued by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Tactical Technology Office (TTO).
DARPA will host an Industry Day on September 22, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET at Amentum Services in Arlington, Virginia, to brief potential proposers on the NGHCM program objectives. The program aims to design, build, and flight-test a fully integrated system demonstrator that establishes technical foundations for next-generation capabilities, delivering significant leaps in operational range, cruise speed, and altitude to address advanced threats in highly contested environments. DARPA emphasizes a Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) approach from project inception to establish a clear, realistic path toward affordable, high-rate production. A Program Solicitation (PS) will be released following this Industry Day. Advanced registration is required and closes September 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET through the online portal at https://dtsn.darpa.mil/eform104/visitor/21a38753-1d02-499b-846b-75f2a64d7523, with attendance capped at 120 participants and no more than three representatives per business entity. The event is classified as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and is limited to U.S. citizens only, who must present REAL ID Act-compliant government-issued photo identification and proof of U.S. citizenship upon arrival. Attendees may submit 24" by 36" or 36" by 24" posters in PDF format by the registration cutoff date to NGHCMIndustryDay@darpa.mil for display during a dedicated networking session. All cellphones, electronics, and recording devices are prohibited in the conference room. Attendance is voluntary and not required to propose to subsequent solicitations. This notice is for information and program planning purposes only and is not itself a Request for Information (RFI); RFI submissions should reference DARPA-SN-26-93. DARPA will not provide reimbursement for participation costs.

NEXT GENERATION HYPERSONIC CRUISE MISSILE INDUSTRY DAY:
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Tactical Technology Office (TTO) will host an Industry Day to brief potential proposers on the objectives of a future Next Generation Hypersonic Cruise Missile (NGHCM) program. This event precedes the planned release of a Program Solicitation (PS). Advance registration is required to attend.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
The NGHCM program aims to design, build, and flight-test a fully integrated system demonstrator. This effort establishes the technical foundation for next-generation capabilities, delivering significant leaps in operational range, cruise speed, and altitude to address advanced threats in highly contested environments. DARPA emphasizes a Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) approach from project inception to establish a clear, realistic path toward affordable, high-rate production.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
Advanced registration is required and can be completed through the NGHCM Industry Day registration portal at: https://dtsn.darpa.mil/eform104/visitor/21a38753-1d02- 499b-846b-75f2a64d7523
Registration requires Personally Identifiable Information (PII). As a result, before sending any sensitive personal information to DARPA, the registrant is responsible for securing the PII data transmitted (e.g., using encrypted email or secure file transfer).

Once DARPA receives the registrant’s PII, it will be stored and protected in a secure environment to prevent unauthorized access.
Due to venue capacity constraints, attendance will be capped at 120 total participants with no more than three (3) representatives per business entity. Once capacity is reached, requested registrations will be placed on a waitlist and notified when a cancellation occurs. Registrants will receive an email confirming or denying their attendance status.
Upon arriving to the event, all attendees will be required to present U.S. Government issued photo identification that is compliant with the REAL ID Act of 2005, and an acceptable proof of U.S. citizenship. This event is limited to U.S. citizens only.
Examples may include:
- State-issued driver’s license, or,
- U.S. passport, or,
- Copy of birth certificate.
SECURITY INFORMATION:
The Industry Day will be conducted at the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level and is open only to U.S. persons. All attendees accessing CUI agree to protect CUI in accordance with DoD Instruction 5200.48 CONTROLLED UNCLASSIFIED INFORMATION (CUI) and NIST Special Publication 800-171 Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations. All attendees will be required to present government issued photo identification when requested by the security POC. All cellphones, electronics, and any recording devices will not be allowed inside the conference room. Lockboxes will be available in the lobby for convenience.
TEAMING OPPORTUNITIES:
DARPA hosts Industry Days to promote teaming arrangements between researchers;
provide potential performers with information on whether and how they might respond to the Government’s research and development solicitations; and to increase efficiency in proposal preparation and evaluation. To maximize the pool of innovative concepts, DARPA strongly encourages participation in these events and subsequent solicitations by non-traditional performers, including small businesses, academic and research institutions, and first-time Government contractors.
POSTER/NETWORKING SESSION:
Attendees who would like to discuss their company’s capabilities, technology expertise, and/or discuss teaming opportunities may submit 24” by 36” or 36” by 24” posters to NGHCMIndustryDay@darpa.mil. Anything not fit to this size will be rescaled and DARPA is not responsible for the results. DARPA will produce the posters to be on display during a dedicated networking session that will occur during the event. Posters must be in PDF format and must be received no later than the registration cutoff date. DARPA will print mailto:NGHCMIndustryDay@darpa.mil the file as received on flexible poster paper and is not responsible for quality assurance.
Any printing or editing needs beyond the registration cutoff date are the performer’s responsibility. Posters will be displayed in an unclassified setting and should be suitable for public consumption. Confirmation that your poster has been received will be provided via email after submission.
REGISTRATION CONTACT LIST:
A list of registrant contact information will be made available to attendees following Industry Day to facilitate interchange among interested proposers. If you would NOT like to be included on this list, please notify us at check-in.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Attendance at the NGHCM Industry Day is voluntary and is not required to propose to subsequent Program Solicitations (if any) on this topic. The Industry Day does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or abstracts. This announcement is issued solely for information and program planning purposes and is not a RFI. Since this is not the RFI, no submissions against this notice will be accepted by the Government. RFI submissions should be submitted in accordance with DARPA-SN-26-93.
