About this file

This is a Special Notice announcing a virtual Industry Day for the DARPA Documentation & Decision Support Sprint (D2-Sprint), a prize competition structured into two distinct competition lanes. The event will be held on September 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM ET, conducted at the Unclassified level. Registration closes on September 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM ET, with attendance limited to the first 1,000 registrants at https://events.sa-meetings.com/D2IndustryDay. The technical point of contact is Jeremy Pamplin, BTO Program Manager, and administrative inquiries should be directed to D2Sprint@darpa.mil.

The D2 competition aims to catalyze advancements in combat medicine through prize incentives, seeking autonomous solutions for hands-free DD Form 1380 documentation and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)-aligned decision support. Lane 1 requires participants to develop algorithms that autonomously populate digital DD Form 1380 (TCCC Card) using passively collected sensor data; Lane 2 requires algorithms providing accurate, real-time clinical decision support to non-medics based on Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) Guidelines and Joint Trauma System Clinical Practice Guidelines (JTS CPGs). Competitors will receive representative data sets including audio, video, and accelerometry data from approximately 20 minutes of simulated casualty care scenarios. To be eligible to win a cash prize, teams representing entities must be incorporated and maintain a U.S. primary place of business; individuals must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Industry Day participation is voluntary and not required to compete. Interested parties may submit one-page teaming profiles by September 22, 2026, to identify potential team members and capabilities.

COMPETITION OVERVIEW:

The goal of the D2 is to catalyze advancements in combat medicine through targeted prize incentives, specifically seeking autonomous solutions that enable hands-free DD Form 1380 documentation and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)-aligned decision support.

The D2 will rapidly accelerate the delivery of autonomous documentation and decision support for untrained persons to deliver tactical combat casualty care using passive sensor data competitors will be provided representative data sets from tactical combat casualty care scenarios, including audio, video, and accelerometry data from the first approximately 20 minutes of care rendered to simulated casualties by medics for training algorithms. The competition will be structured into two distinct lanes:

• Lane 1—Documentation: Participants will develop algorithms to autonomously and accurately populate a digital DD Form 1380 (TCCC Card) using passively collected data.

• Lane 2—Decision Support: Participants will create algorithms to provide accurate, real-time clinical decision support to non-medics based on established Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC) Guidelines and Joint Trauma System Clinical Practice Guidelines (JTS CPGs).

ELIGIBILITY AND SECURITY INFORMATION:

To be eligible to win a cash prize, a team representing an entity (e.g., company or academic institution) must be incorporated and maintain a primary place of business (e.g., located) in the United States. An individual(s) participating singly or in a team not representing an entity, must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States. The winner will be required to provide a U.S. taxpayer identification number (TIN) or a social security number to receive the cash prize. Information on how to obtain a TIN is available on the U.S.

Internal Revenue Service website at www.IRS.gov.

The D2C will be conducted at the Unclassified level.
