About this file

The document is a California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Vending Machine Relocation, Installation, Removal, Service and Repair. The IFB requests a contractor to provide vending machine repair and service, preventative maintenance, relocation, installation, and removal for DOR's Business Enterprise Program (BEP) cafeterias, snack bars, roadside rests, and vending facilities at locations such as California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) correctional facilities, state and federal buildings. The services must be provided five days per week, excluding holidays, between 7 AM and 5 PM, with additional charges for work outside of normal hours. The maximum amount that may be charged per job is $2,000 unless approved by the Contract Administrator or BEP Manager.

The IFB outlines requirements for the contractor, including having readily available common vending machine parts, obtaining written approval for equipment removal, maintaining a clean work area, and being responsible for any damages caused. Freight charges can be reimbursed with proper documentation. Payments will be made based on the contractor's wholesale costs plus a maximum 40% markup, excluding tax.
