First Databank's National Drug Data File is widely used by industry and offers efficient ways to navigate to precisely to the information required for the task at hand. The end result is more informed decision making and increased data accuracy.
The pertinent data will be utilized by the Diversion Technology Section as a reference tool to support databases and provide updates for the Drug Theft Loss (DTL) program.
First Databank provides the most up to date and current documentation and recorded drug information formatted in a manner which permits exact calculations of controlled substance quantities. First Data Bank provides accurate and up to date drug information capable of satisfying DEA's workload and performance requirements. FDB works directly with manufacturers and distributers to provide updates throughout the year. FDB is constantly improving its data and is used by other agencies to confirm their database.
FDB combines a comprehensive set of drug date base elements formatted in a manner which enables the DEA to derive information for the production 24/7 Drug Theft Loss system (DTL). The FOB database is used in our production system and procedures are in place to load the weekly updates to the database files in our production system. Use of another database would require extensive development and modification of our current processes.
Describe in detail any market research conducted. Include results and state whether any vendors expressed Interest:
SID does not have the time or resources necessary to seamlessly change NDC data files before the pending expiration of the First Data Bank license agreement. An attempt to implement a new NOC data file at this time would be detrimental to Registrants.
