About this file

This is an amendment to a Request for Bid (RFB) issued by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for Georgia Pacific branded lavatory supplies, including dispensers and related products. The procurement seeks to supply approximately 400 paper towel dispensers for initial installation across approximately 300 restrooms in academic buildings, with specific focus on the 1131 UWM Academic Building requiring 1131 Georgia Pacific dispensers for lavatory stalls. The requested products include Paper Towels SKU #59426A and Toilet Paper SKUs #56744A and #56790A. The original RFB was released on July 17, 2017, with this amendment dated August 1, 2017. Questions from potential bidders were due by July 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM Central Daylight Time, and completed bids were due by August 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM CDT. Inquiries should be directed to Donna Lumsden at uwmbids@uwm.edu or (414) 229-6011.

The amendment provides clarifications and answers to questions received during the bidding period. Bidders must certify compliance with various Wisconsin statutory requirements, including preference for certified Minority Business Enterprises (5% preference available), work center certification for employers of persons with severe disabilities, preference for materials manufactured in the United States, and compliance with federal debarment and suspension requirements. Bidders claiming exceptions to terms and conditions or requesting vendor contracts be considered must submit a Tab B section. The document requires signed certification that bids were independently developed without collusion and that bidders will comply with all stated terms, conditions, and specifications.

AMENDMENT QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. How many paper towel dispensers would be needed for initial installation?

Answer: Approximately 400

2. Can you provide the total number of restrooms for the academic buildings?

Answer: Approximately 300

3. Please provide the total quantity of G.P. dispensers that will be required for the installation in the 1131 UWM Academic Building Lavatory stalls.

Answer: 1131

4. Can you provide the paper towel and toilet tissue dispenser SKUs you were interested in? Asking because GP has multiple color options available in both the enMotion towel dispensers and Compact toilet tissue dispensers. Plus, we have just recently begun to launch new versions of these dispensers. Same overall functions, but new look and feel. Sales recommendation would be to look at newer models?

Answer: Paper Towels #59426A and Toilet Paper #56744A and #56790A

5. Clarification on the Tab (B) section 4.2 on the bid. Is this optional or are we missing tab (B) on the original RFB (as I do not see this attached on the bid).

Answer: A “Tab B” would only be required, if a vendor is taking exceptions to the terms and conditions included in the RFB or is requesting that a vendor contract be considered as part of the response to the RFB.
