About this file
This is a Price Quote Proposal for Unit Items from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for Contract Number 07A6257. The project involves rehabilitating an existing drainage system and connecting it to the LACFCD Chino Creek Channel. The scope of work encompasses 13 line items including lead compliance planning, traffic control, job site management, water pollution control, temporary concrete washout, structure excavation and backfill for a culvert, aggregate base installation, lean concrete base, hot mix asphalt, minor concrete work, pipe removal, and installation of 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe. The estimated quantities vary by item type, ranging from 0.5 cubic yards for Class 3 Aggregate Base to 40 cubic yards for Structure Excavation (Culvert), with 10 linear feet each for pipe removal and reinforced concrete pipe installation.
The approximate magnitude of work is $151,982.30. The proposal form requires bidders to submit unit prices and item totals for each of the 13 line items, with the total bid amount to be calculated from these entries. Bidders must be authorized to sign the proposal and must provide their business information, including state contractor's license number and classification, Federal ID number or Social Security number, and Department of Industrial Relations registration number. The form includes standard Caltrans contract conditions, including provisions that bidders who refuse to execute awarded contracts may be liable for actual damages or 10 percent of the bid amount (whichever is less), and that contractors currently in default on Caltrans contracts may have their bids rejected as non-responsive. Electronic signatures are accepted and carry the same legal binding force as handwritten signatures.
