Version 11-30-2016-1 FAR Part 11—Describing Agency Needs
PURCHASE DESCRIPTION
1. Statement of Need and Purpose:
The Neurological Disorders and Stroke’s (NINDS) Viral Immunology Section requires 10X Genomics Chromium Single Cell Gene Sequencing and Library Construction Kits or equal products. The NINDS Viral Immunology Section will use the kits to conduct single cell RNA sequencing and immune profiling, as well as explore the T cell receptor, B cell receptor, and transcriptional changes associated with HIV disease status.
2. Background Information and Objective:
The NINDS is a part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and conducts research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of neurological disorders and stroke. The NINDS Viral Immunology Section needs specific supplies to prepare libraries for sequencing patient samples and for gene expression analysis related to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) disease status.
3. Product Information
a. Brand Name of Product: Chromium Single Cell Gene Sequencing Kits and
Library Construction Kit
b. Generic Name of Product: Single cell gene sequencing kits; library construction kit; TCR and BCR amplification kits
c. Manufacturer: 10X Genomics, Inc.
