PRELIMINARY REPORT
This report will provide the outcome of abstraction for Clinical Guideline and Prevention Indicators (CGPI) of care provided to veterans in VHA outpatient clinics. Cases were selected from a specific time period designated as the ''study interval.'' To qualify an outpatient record for abstraction, the patient must have been seen by an MD, DO, APN, PA, or Psychologist in one of the Nexus clinics within twelve months from the first day of the study interval. All cases selected for review must also have had another visit anywhere in VHA within the past two years. The ''Nexus clinics'' include primary care and specialty clinics as well as selected mental health clinics. Although all applicable data is collected, mental health patients whose primary care is received in a non-VHA setting are excluded from VHA designated indicators.
