About this file
This document describes the purchase requirements for media components to support neuronal cell culture for antiviral drug development. Specifically, it outlines the need for 60 bottles of BrainPhys Neuronal Medium, 30 bottles each of two types of N2 Supplement, 20 bottles each of two types of neuronal supplements, and lesser quantities of other components including growth factors, cAMP and neurotrophic factors. The components must support neuronal culture and firing in monolayer and spheroid formats over multiple weeks. They must be defined, serum-free and stable for specific periods. The media and components must reproducibly support the survival, maturation and neurological function of iPSC-derived neurons and astrocytes. Delivery is required within 30 days of order placement. The related federal contract opportunity is for antiviral drug development targeting neurotropic viruses with pandemic potential from the Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health National Institute on Drug Abuse.
