About this file

This notice announces a grant funding opportunity from the Natural Resources Conservation Service for Native American tribal governments in Nebraska. Eligible applicants may apply for grants under two initiatives: tribal food sovereignty and food production grants to increase tribal food sovereignty through conservation practices supporting traditional food production, markets, and education; and grants to provide outreach and assistance to historically underserved clients to increase their access to NRCS technical and financial resources. Applicants must submit proposals by April 12, 2024 using Grants.gov. NRCS anticipates $500,000 available for funding in fiscal year 2024, and will select recipients by May 12, 2024 to execute awards by September 15, 2024. The funding is assigned to the Soil and Water Conservation program under the Department of Agriculture with the purpose of providing conservation assistance through local conservation professionals.
