About this file

This document is a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Southeastern Massachusetts Whole Farm Conservation Planning cooperative agreement from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

The NRCS is making up to $400,000 available for a cooperative agreement with an applicant to assist the agency in conducting and implementing conservation whole farm planning on multiple private landowner properties throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. The agreement will be awarded for up to a 5-year period, with a minimum project award of $200,000. Eligible applicants include all domestic applicants, and the primary goal is to expand conservation planning to NRCS customers in the region. Applicants will be required to complete a minimum of 15 conservation site visits and written whole farm conservation plans per year, as well as provide 1-2 conservation-focused training sessions annually for NRCS staff and partners. The NRCS will award the cooperative agreement by June 30, 2024, and expects to execute the award by August 15, 2024. This NOFO is being issued under the USDA's Soil and Water Conservation (CFDA 10.902) and Environmental Quality Incentives Program (CFDA 10.912).
