UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, is soliciting proposals under Request for Proposal CT1900-08 for commercial items, Fabric, polypropylene slip resistant ticking, for use in manufacturing bedding mattresses. The finished goods will be made at USP Atlanta, GA. This acquisition is unrestricted and will result in a 1 year ID/IQ type contract with a 1 year Option, if exercised. Please read all posted documents carefully, in order to fully understand and comply with the proposal submission requirements.

Please read the attached Request for Proposal in it’s entirety because this cover letter provides only an overview of the requirements. You have the ability to complete your Representations and Certifications online. See the Representations & Certifications clause in the solicitation. If not completed online, paragraphs (b) through (k) only of the Representations & Certifications needs to be included in your package.

Your DUNS number must be included on the 1449 Form. Put it in box 17a with name, address and phone. Give special attention to the proposal submission requirements on page 13 of the solicitation. It lists 5 specific documents/forms that must be submitted as a part of your offer. Please include all 5 or your proposal may be deemed to be non-responsive and not considered at all.

The proposals are due May 2, 2008 2pm ET. Use overnight delivery service such as FedEx, UPS or DHL.

Please submit one original copy of the proposal signed by an individual authorized to bind the offer. Faxed proposals will not be accepted. The proposal should be sent to the address below.
