Solicitation # CRHC23-05 Mobile MRI IHS/Cheyenne River Health Center

Question/Answers

1. Can we submit proposal without tech info, resume and details as We use a staffing agency for techs and will not know this info unless we are awarded the contract and hire a tech for the contract. At that point we can send said info. –I don’t see this as a problem as long as you can guarantee gapless coverage.

2. System Requirements:

- What is the make and model MRI preferred.-Siemens or GE

- How many channels does the MRI need to have? - The more channels that are provided the better the image quality.

- Are there any scanning capabilities you will require? Anything that’s not typical of a standard MRI. –This is not a requirement, it would be nice to perform abdominal studies that require power injection. However, I do not know if this is something a mobile MRI is capable of.

3. The mobile will be used 52 days a year, if so, can the mobile stay at the facility year-round on shore power? Might be a possibility and discussed before award. But preference is to not have on-site.

4. How many patients per day do you anticipate scanning (asking to know how much contract will be needed). –Currently we have 9 -45 minute time slots.

5. What day of the week are scans performed on? Same day every week? -Every Wednesday is preferred.

6. Do you require Apps training? -The MRI tech should be familiar with the MRI machine and typically all MRI techs have had some form of apps training.

7. Can the mobile be delivered the afternoon before each day scans will be done for set up or prior to 7:00 am the day scans are performed. –Yes, the MRI truck can come the day before or day of.

8.Is it hard for an employee to get in and out of your site? Why do they need lodging? Not hard to get in and out of site. Lodging would be anticipation due to weather or other emergency’s.

9.It is stated in RFP contractor is required to advertise for employment of MRI tech on the reservation. Is there anyone on the reservation qualified/certified to do the job of MRI tech? Not that we are aware of.

10.You only need services one day a week 52 weeks a year? Yes

11.How many clinics were cancelled last year for unforeseen circumstances? Approximately, 5 but all were made up on an agreed other day.

12.What is the start date of service? 02/01/2023

13.Currently, we do not have JCHO accreditation because we do not bill insurance. We currently only do private contracts where JCHO accreditation is not required. Could we began the process of accreditation after services begin? No soltcrTA
