About this file
The document is a Request for Information (RFI) #2024-RFI-034 issued by the Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA), a joint-powers authority formed between the City of Ontario and San Bernardino County in Southern California. The RFI seeks information from graphic designers and vendors with expertise in creative direction for merchandise design, specifically focusing on producing items branded with partner logos under licensing agreements. The project is set to be released on August 1, 2024, with a question submission deadline of August 29, 2024, at 3:00 PM and a response submission deadline of September 12, 2024, at 3:00 PM. While the RFI is primarily seeking information and will not result in a direct contract award, it aims to gather details about potential vendors' capabilities, including their approach to merchandise design, packaging operations, collection development, and experience with co-branded merchandise.
The OIAA has a preference for local businesses within a 50-mile radius of the postal code '91761' but encourages submissions from all qualified vendors regardless of location. The airport serves over 5.5 million passengers annually and is a major air cargo facility in Southern California, handling more than 750,000 tons of cargo each year. Vendors are requested to provide comprehensive information about their organization, including background, prior work experience, organizational size, design approach, packaging operations, and history of working with licensed and co-branded items. The RFI emphasizes the importance of adherence to brand standards and the ability to work effectively with clients. Respondents are advised that all submissions will become the property of the OIAA and may be subject to public records disclosure under the California Public Records Act.
