Cow Creek Salvage Area C.pdf

This is a Salvage Timber Sale document from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service, for the Cow Creek Road Salvage Timber Sale C located in Levy County, Florida. The sale encompasses approximately 303 acres within the south and southeastern perimeter of the Cow Creek Wildfire area, including dead, dying, and green pine timber in the Black Prong and Cow Creek Tracts of Goethe State Forest, north and south of County Road 326. The sale is divided into a Primary harvest area of approximately 138 acres and a Contingency monitoring area of approximately 165 acres. All harvest operations must commence within ten calendar days of contract execution. The timber sale is being advertised simultaneously with Cow Creek Road Salvage Sales A and B; if a single bidder wins more than one sale, the bidder must forfeit all but one sale to the next highest bidder. A mandatory site review with the Forester-in-Charge is required before operations begin, and special attention must be paid to waterbody exclusion areas and red-cockaded woodpecker cluster protection zones as marked by the Forester-in-Charge.

The timber products include salvage pine pulpwood, with no guaranteed volume estimate provided. The buyer is not obligated to harvest non-merchantable timber or timber deemed undersized or economically unviable by the Forester-in-Charge. Timber will be designated for removal by the Forester-in-Charge or authorized representatives and may include scattered clusters of infected or dying trees. Specific pricing terms, bid submission procedures, and bid award dates are not detailed in this document summary.
