About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Revenue. It describes the agency's intent to purchase an online license agreement for the CoStar Suite, which provides comprehensive commercial real estate information. The CoStar Suite is required to enable the Department's Property Tax Oversight appraisers to comply with Florida Statutes 193 and 195. The license agreement is for up to two years, beginning on June 1, 2022. The estimated dollar amount for this intended single source purchase is $200,000.
The justification for the single source acquisition is that CoStar Suite provides a complete database of commercial real estate information on all 67 counties in Florida, including detailed data on available space, comparable sales, tenant information, lease comparables, and properties for sale. CoStar physically inspects and photographs properties, calls and interviews deal makers, and logs over 120,000 daily updates to its database, making it a unique and comprehensive resource for the Department's appraisal needs.
