1.4.6.23. All work is subject to inspection and testing by the Government at all places and at all reasonable times before acceptance, in accordance with FAR 52.246-12, Inspection of Construction. Government inspections and tests do not relieve the Contractor of the responsibility for providing adequate quality control measures, nor does it constitute or imply Government acceptance of the work. The presence or absence of a Government inspector does not relieve the contractor of complying with the specified requirements, nor is the Government inspector authorized to change any term or condition of the specification without the Contracting Officer's written authorization.

1.4.6.24. Work shall be phased in coordination with the User. Contractor to submit proposed Phasing Plan for review and approval by the COR no later than five (5) days after NTP.

1.4.10.2. Current I3A Army Communication Standards 2010. If any communication lines, equipment, or hardware is disturbed, it will need to be reinstalled IAW the most current 3 UFC 580-01 ISP Communication Standards.

1.4.10.3. If any communication lines need to be moved, please do so IAW I3A and UFC standards. If trenching or marking is required, please submit requests to usarmy.bliss.106-sig-bde.mbx.nec-dig-permits@mail.mil as we are not tied in with 811. Please contact the NEC before disturbing any communications equipment the contractor may come across (network switches, fiber lines, etc.). Please do not dispose of any communications equipment the contractor may come across. Please request a site visit by the NEC NLT 7 days prior to work start date and NLT 7 days prior to project completion to ensure surveys and inspections ensuring communication lines are operational. a. The legs shall be secured to the roof deck and the TPO to be installed properly around the legs.

b. The legs can sit on top of the TPO but include a e.g. 1/4" rubber pad to support the leg and not let it touch the TPO material. However, this comes with a higher risk since high winds can end up moving the evaporative unit, but since the evaporative unit is ducted through the roof or wall, that is where it's going to get its strength from.

1.4.11.4. Remove and replace all condensate drain piping at all evaporative cooler units. Ensure proper drainage to roof drains and/or scuppers.

Contractor shall provide pipe stands.

1.4.11.5. Shut down air intake equipment in the vicinity of the Work in coordination with the User. Cover air intake louvers before proceeding with roof work that could affect indoor air quality or activate smoke detectors in the ductwork.

a. Verify that rooftop utilities and service piping affected by the Work have been shut off before commencing Work.

1.4.11.6. Extend existing ductwork inside roof curbs to accommodate extension of curb.

a. Use materials matching existing ductwork; minimum of 20-gauge galvanized duct with Pittsburgh folded seam slip joints, typical.

1.4.11.7. Maintain roof drains in functioning condition to ensure roof drainage at the end of each workday. Prevent debris from entering or blocking roof drains and conductors. Use roof-drain plugs specifically designed for this purpose. Remove roof-drain plugs at end of each workday, when no work is taking place, or when rain is forecasted.

1.4.11.8. All existing gas lines on roof to be removed and replaced with all new steel gas pipe, joints and fittings on pipe supports. Contractor to include the cost of gas pressure test in accordance with Texas Gas and PRIDE requirements. Gas lines to be painted Safety Yellow color.

1.4.11.9. Contractor shall provide temporary heating and cooling on the interior side of the building as necessary during construction. Contractor shall provide a plan showing the temporary heating/cooling approach to condition building.
