About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement and installation of a commercially off-the-shelf (COTS) replacement autoclave and control system for the Tinker Air Force Base Composites & Shelf-Life Lab. The equipment will be installed at Building 9001, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, and is intended to replace the lab's current autoclave which exceeded its expected service life in FY2012. The system will be used for curing composite prepregs, primers, film adhesives, graphite, and shelf-life materials in support of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex and Department of War Shelf-Life Program customers.
The vendor is responsible for providing all hardware, software, peripherals, documentation, training, calibration, shipping, and installation. Key hardware specifications include a front-loading autoclave chamber with minimum interior working space of 60" W x 120" L x 48" H, overall footprint between 116"-126" W x 258"-268" L x 89"-99" H, and maximum floor load of 500 lbs./square foot. The system must support pressure operations from 0-200+ psi with ±0.5 psi accuracy, vacuum operations from 0-25" Hg with ±1" Hg accuracy, and temperature operations up to 450°F minimum with ±5°F accuracy. The control system requires Windows 11 operating system, standalone operation without internet or cloud-based services, and a minimum 12" x 12" display screen. The vendor must provide pre-installation and operator manuals, complete electrical and mechanical drawings, on-site training for three lab personnel within five working days of installation completion, a one-year warranty covering parts, labor, travel, and software updates, initial calibration upon installation, and calibration services at 12-month intervals. Tinker AFB will prepare the installation site and remove the existing autoclave prior to vendor delivery, with the vendor required to provide 30 days' notice of delivery.
