Composite Curing Oven Requirements

Use: The application for this equipment is vacuum assisted composite curing of aircraft parts. The equipment will be installed indoors, on level concrete and in an industrial environment. If the equipment arrives in multiple pieces it will need to be assembled, tested and commissioned on site.

Oven and software training required from manufacturer.

Oven needs to include (12) automated vacuum ports, (12) transducer ports and (16) type "J" thermocouple jacks inside the oven.

(12) 1/2" NPT through wall vacuum ports with air piloted electric valves & resin traps on oven exterior.

Ports will be equally spaced down both sides of the oven and connected to a common 1" NPT header pipe. The header pipe will include an isolation valve for each side and one at the main connection to the source. Ports will be terminated inside the oven with high temperature quick disconnect fittings.

(12) 1/2" NPT vacuum transducer ports. Each port must include a high temperature quick disconnect fitting on interior and a vacuum transducer on exterior. All transducers will be wired directly to the control panel for continuous monitoring and recording.

(16) type "J" thermocouple jacks located inside the oven. These will be divided into two 8-port jack panels and located one on each side of oven, as close to the doors as possible. All jacks will be hard wired directly to the control panel for continuous monitoring and recording.

1/2" NPT blank port located within 3" of the process and high limit thermocouples to be used for validation. Port include standard pipe cap on the exterior.

Each vacuum port needs to include a high temperature quick disconnect fitting on the interior and an air piloted electric valve with resin trap on exterior. Operators select which vacuum port to use when setting up the recipe. All vacuum ports are connected to a common 1" NPT header that is directly piped to vacuum source. The vacuum transducer ports must also include a high-temperature quick disconnect fitting on the interior. All thermocouple jacks and transducers will be hard wired directly to the control panel for continuous recording.
