Combined Synopsis Solicitation # 12305B21Q0099

SYNOPSIS:

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agriculture Research Service, Pasture Systems & Watershed Management Research Unit, University Park, PA., requires recurring POCIS-HLB membranes and Oasis-HLB sampling services.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

The primary objective of issuing this Combined Synopsis Solicitation is to seek information from vendors with the capability of providing POCIS-HLB membranes and Oasis-HLB sampling services. The service will be used for watershed research.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Background:

USDA will be conducting halfmoon watershed research. The Computational Research Infrastructure for Science (CRIS) will need to purchase consumable water sampling supplies every two weeks. These supplies are membranes that are placed into a sampling canister in the streams and collect contaminants. The membranes are pulled out every two weeks and processed in the lab for contaminant extraction and analysis. New membranes must be put in place when the old ones are pulled out.

POCIS-HLB membranes to provide media for 10 long-term, in-stream 720 EA.

water quality samplers (6 membranes /sampler) . 60 per shipment

Oasis-HLB, cleaned to process media for 10 long-term, in-stream 24 EA water quality samplers. Sold per gram, total of 2 grams needed per 10 samplers

Shipping and handling of lines items #1 & #2 (60 membranes 12 EA and 2g Oasis-HLB).

Additional Information:

• Shipments Not to Exceed (NTE) 12 shipments (approximately)

• Weather dependent on number of shipments. Shipment will be ordered every 2 weeks by USDA Program

Manager

• Cannot be auto-shipped due to research requirements

(All lines items should be priced to include shipping, training, warranty, etc.)

NOTE TO OFFERS:

This is a Combined Synopsis Solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in Far Subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented.

Additional information included in this notice is in accordance with procurement procedures of Far 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.
