Input Test Pressures and desired output pressures for each set of pilots is given in Table 1. Test fluid for air regulator, booster (as applicable), and pilot (air connections) shall be air meeting the requirements of Reference 3.1, as outlined in section 505j2 of Reference 3.7. Test fluid for the sensing lines shall be water meeting the cleanliness requirements of STR-4P37. Air regulators are to be set as required to the air input pressure of the corresponding pilot.
6.11 Contractor shall maintain traceability of components with their respective Material Control Tags (MCTs). If MCT is removed during overhaul, proper MCT is to be tracked with respective component and shall be reattached following reassembly and prior to shipment.
6.12 Test reports are required for each pilot, air regulator and booster assembly prior to and after any required repairs and documentation. For the pilots, the sensing line pressure(s) and the air output pressure shall be specified. For the air regulator and booster, the input and output pressures shall be specified. NNSY is to be notified of test results prior to shipping components for return to NNSY. Test reports shall be included with assemblies for return to NNSY. This will provide Norfolk Naval Shipyard the OQE that the valves provided are in satisfactory condition to be installed and operated shipboard. Data/documentation to be provided shall include but not be limited to: Fluid used and cleanliness, test pressures, length of tests, valve leak rate, gage(s) utilized (model, range, and calibration date), and repairs performed if any.
6.13 Report of Repair shall include but not be limited to:
-List of all work required to return each unit to “like new” condition -List of all broken/worn out parts requiring replacement -Time period required to complete all repairs -Total cost to complete all repairs in order to return unit to “like new” condition
