About this file

This is a Project Description and Scope of Work document for the Colson Palmer 12ft Storm Line Rehabilitation Rebid project in Michigan. The project encompasses the installation of one dewatering pump station, removal and replacement of four backwater flap gates, and cleaning of 9,163 linear feet of sewer within the Colson Palmer 12ft Storm Line system. The scope of work includes all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services required to complete these tasks in compliance with applicable standards and specifications. The project appears to be a rebid, indicating that a previous bid cycle was unsuccessful or reopened for competitive purposes.

The document establishes technical requirements and performance standards for the contractor performing the work. Key specifications likely address pump station installation standards, flap gate specifications and installation procedures, sewer line cleaning methodologies, and quality assurance protocols. Additional details regarding project timeline, contract duration, payment terms, bonding requirements, insurance provisions, and specific site conditions or constraints would be contained within the complete scope of work documentation. The project represents infrastructure rehabilitation work focused on stormwater management and sewer system maintenance within the specified Michigan jurisdiction.

b) Debris cleaning of the Colson / Palmer Storm Tunnel

c) Excavation of work areas for the Dewatering Pump Station

d) Construction of exterior walls for the Dewatering Pump Station

Phase 2 construction includes:

The contractor shall confirm the time and delivery dates for the pumps as part of the schedule submitted prior to the preconstruction meeting.

The City reserves the right to have outstanding work performed by another agency at the Contractor’s expense. The cost of such work will be deducted from the Contractor’s retainage.

Any other alternation to this sequence of construction shall meet the approval of the Engineer. The Engineer reserves the right to alter the sequence of construction during or before construction. No additional payment will be made because of alteration in the Sequence of Operations directed by the Engineer.

106.6 Prospective bidders are advised to contact MDOT, Wayne County and other impacted cities to verify their upcoming construction projects that may impact the trucking route, supply, and cost of materials. This will help the contractor set up their trucking and hauling routes. Regardless, no additional payment will be made due to delay, inconvenience, additional costs incurred due to road construction/road closures, traffic restrictions set up by the County, State and/or other cities within their road rights of way that may impact this project operation.
