About this file
This technical manual provides guidance for painting and marking Army aircraft. It specifies tactical and non-tactical paint schemes for various aircraft models, including colors, locations of insignias, radio call numbers, safety warnings, and other markings. Details are given for surface preparation, application of primers and topcoats, touch-up procedures, and specific guidance for individual aircraft models. The manual also outlines lettering styles, sizes, and placement of identification information such as serial numbers, fuel specifications, and unit insignia. Adherence to the standards ensures uniformity and aids in aircraft identification and safety markings.
