TREE INSPECTION REPORT
Allan Kniffen May 20, 2022 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road Building 70 Coatesville, PA 19320 Allan.kniffen@va.gov 610-384-7711, X 3511
Hello Alan.
On May 17th I performed a walking inspection of the tree population at the VA site. I collected data and mapped locations of specific trees that matched the following - The intent was to determine the overall condition and health of the trees via a visual ground inspection and to identify those specific trees with conditions that can make them potentially hazardous to staff, patients, vehicles, buildings and infrastructure in general.
As with any tree, we can only determine its overall health and stability at a given moment in time.
Weather conditions, or other factors can cause a tree to fail unexpectedly. Therefore my findings are based on the conditions I observed from the ground on May 17th, 2022.
The data is in table format with the trees numbered – starting at #1. A map with the trees located and numbered to match the spreadsheet numbering is included in this report. I’ve ranked the trees that are potential threats in a priority order of HIGH, MEDIUM, and LOW.
The High Priority trees are those that I deemed at the time of the inspection as being the greatest potential safety threat on the property. Most of them are dead or nearly dead trees, OR trees with deadwood in high use areas.
Medium Priority trees are those with deadwood in them that I inspected, and that below or near the trees are picnic tables, benches, sidewalks, streets, or other gathering areas.
Low Priority trees have defects such as small amounts of dead wood and/or their location is away from significant activity and makes them less of a threat to people and property.
