Specifications for CO2 Chamber Panels:

Purchase of replacement plastic panels for open top chambers used for exposure of plants to elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide in association with ongoing Global Change research. Requirements are:

(24) SSD-LCC-1LR door panels

(24) ECU-LCC-1LR upper panels

(24) “Auburn Special” lower panels

Panels are constructed from un-dusted, 1200-hour UVI PVC film with B.P.S anti-fungicide that does not crack at temperature above -20°F.

Door panels are 47.25 inches tall and 83 inches wide with top and bottom edges rolled and sealed to create 2-inch channels that contain 1/8 inch leader ropes.

Top panels are 45 inches tall and 35 feet long with top and bottom edges rolled and sealed to create 2-inch channels that contain 1/8 inch leader ropes.

Bottom panels are 45 inches tall and 31 feet long. Panel is double walled. Walls are joined together at the top and at both ends. A 4-foot “tube” with a diameter of ~19 inches is joined to the outer wall centered both horizontally and vertically. The entire inner wall is perforated with 1-inch holes spaced 6.5 inches center-to-center both vertically and horizontally. Top and bottom edges are rolled and sealed to create 2-inch channels that contain 1/8 inch leader ropes. “Auburn Special” refers to extra reinforcement of areas near the point of tube attachment.
