About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Invitation for Bid (IFB) CN160091 regarding Tractor and Refrigerated Bobtail Truck Rental. The document addresses three key questions from potential bidders about the specifications and requirements for the rental equipment. The procurement requires both 3-axle tractors and refrigerated bobtail trucks, with specific requirements including air ride suspension and a 6,000 lb capacity lift gate for the refrigerated trucks. The contract appears to have a 48-hour response requirement for providing requested vehicles.

The document demonstrates that alternative specifications proposed by a bidder (spring ride suspension and 3,000 lb capacity lift gate) were not explicitly approved, with responses directing back to the original specifications in the IFB. The document references termination rights in Exhibit E for cases where the contractor cannot meet the 48-hour vehicle request requirement, indicating strict performance requirements for this rental contract.
