About this file

This is a Consolidation Determination document from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime for a long-term contract (LTC) for power supply and battery storage items. The acquisition is for an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Delivery Contract for CL24047001 Power Supply items, covering three National Stock Numbers (NSNs) for power supply unitines and battery storage. The contract will have a five-year base period with two one-year options, with a total estimated contract maximum dollar value that is redacted.

The solicitation will be a single award for small businesses, focusing on consolidating previous separate acquisitions to reduce administrative lead times, lower costs, and improve supply availability. Market research was conducted with 22 vendors, with seven small businesses expressing interest. The key benefits include reduced acquisition cycle time (from 2-26 days compared to current processes), lower administrative costs, opportunity for supplier partnership, and minimal disruption to current flow of items. The procurement strategy provides maximum practicable participation for small businesses, with Powerstar identified as the only approved manufacturer for these items. The DLA aims to support Littoral Combat Ship weapon systems on a worldwide basis through this consolidated procurement approach.
