About this file
This document contains additional contractual clauses for a Maine state procurement related to inspection station signs for motor vehicles. The contract includes an extension clause that allows the State Purchasing Director to extend the contract period beyond the initial expiration date with contractor consent, provided the total contract period does not exceed three years. The procurement establishes an overrun limit of 3 percent above the contract value.
The solicitation includes several notable provisions affecting bid evaluation and pricing. Vendor past performance may be considered as a factor in award decisions. For bids involving paper or paper products, bidders offering items with a minimum of 30 percent postconsumer recycled content that are within 10 percent of the lowest compliant bid may receive up to a 10 percent price preference, contingent upon the bidder clearly identifying recycled paper products and disclosing the recycled content percentage in the solicitation response comments section.
