About this file
This document outlines specifications for a vessel procurement by the National Park Service. The NPS seeks to replace an existing 26ft vessel with a new 25-27ft vessel of similar configuration for resource management operations at Christiansted National Historic Site in the US Virgin Islands. Required deliverables include a commercial-grade fiberglass hull vessel between 25-27ft with unsinkable and self-bailing capabilities. The vessel must accommodate 8-10 passengers and be suitable for open ocean conditions up to 2 miles offshore. Additionally, the procurement requires the vessel be outfitted with twin 200hp 4-stroke outboard engines from Honda, Evinrude, Yamaha or Mercury, a 125-gallon gasoline fuel tank, navigation and communication electronics, and delivery on a heavy-duty float-on trailer to St. Croix, USVI. The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the NPS seeking to award a purchase order conforming to the outlined specifications.
