About this file

This document is a Contract Data Change Notice dated 22 July 2024 for the Women's All-Weather Coat (GL-PD-19027A) with multiple recommended modifications to the existing product specification. The changes address five key recommendations: 1) clarifying back vent buttonhole placement with a new pattern piece, 2) updating the description of the left front flap to specify a rounded bottom corner, 3) removing references to "Colonial brown" thread color after developing Heritage Green 564 thread, 4) clarifying belt loop placement and alignment, and 5) correcting a button-related typo.

The notice provides specific page-by-page edits across multiple sections of the product specification document, including updates to paragraphs describing topstitching, buttonholes, buttons, and nomenclature for pattern parts. New figures (Figure 1 and Figure 2) are also included, showing front and back views of the Women's All-Weather Coat with the proposed modifications. These changes are requested to be implemented for all current, pending, and future procurements of the coat, indicating a comprehensive update to the product specification.

DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT A. Approved for public release. Distribution is unlimited.

FCCD-SCD-PEC 22 July 2024 SUBJECT: Coat, All-Weather, Women’s, Army; GL-PD-19027A, dated 6 March 2020

1. Reference is made to DLA 339 Case DSCP-FQ-24-37285, dated 20 June 24, subject as above.

2. As a result of reference 1. above, the following information is furnished:

a. Recommendation 1 – Back vent. We do not concur with having two separate back pieces. We have updated the pattern piece with a new line label that clarifies which side the buttonhole goes on. The note will state “Buttonhole on wearers right (WR) only.” Paragraphs have been updated to clarify buttonhole placement on vent, a new Figure has been developed and new patterns will be furnished to DLA. See changes below.

b. Recommendation 2 – Gun Patch. We have updated the description of the left front flap (gun patch) to indicate that it is rounded at the edge. Changes have been made to use consistent wording for the “left front flap (gun patch)” throughout the PD. See changes below.

c. Recommendation 3 – Thread Color. Since the Heritage Green 564 thread has now been developed the “Colonial brown” color reference has been removed from the PD. See changes below.

d. Recommendation 4 – Belt Loops. We have updated the verbiage to clarify placement and alignment of the belt loops. See changes below.
