About this file
This document is a government solicitation for aerial herbicide application services at Chattahoochee State Park in Houston County, Alabama for the year 2025. The project involves aerial herbaceous weed control and release on approximately 352 acres, with specific herbicide application requirements including 2.5 ounces/acre of OUST XP herbicide and 1.75 pints/acre of Velpar L VU herbicide, with 5-10 gallons of product applied per acre. The herbicide application is scheduled to occur between April 1, 2025, and June 15, 2025, with contractors required to possess current Alabama Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certifications in Forest Pest, Ground Equipment, and Aerial Equipment Categories.
The solicitation is structured as an "All or None" contract opportunity, indicating that the entire project must be awarded to a single vendor meeting all specified qualifications. While specific pricing details are not provided, the contract appears to be a service-based procurement focused on precise ecological management within the state park. The project's scope suggests a targeted approach to vegetation management, likely aimed at promoting specific ecological conditions or forest health objectives in the designated park area.
