About this file

The document is a Roles and Responsibilities Chart for a Statement of Objectives Request for Information (RFI) between the National Science Foundation (NSF) and SPRIND, detailing collaborative efforts across four primary workstreams. The chart delineates responsibilities for Topic Selection and Preparation, Outreach and Cohort Selection, Subcontracting with Selected Teams, and Documentation and Reporting, with each organization (NSF, SPRIND, and Contractor) assigned specific roles ranging from Responsible (R), Supporting (S), to Informed (I).

Key objectives include developing and refining program topics, creating application processes, selecting and supporting innovative teams, providing mentorship and technical assistance, and documenting program progress. The collaborative effort aims to enable researchers and innovators to apply unconventional approaches for developing game-changing technologies, with a focus on translating discoveries into tangible applications. The chart emphasizes joint decision-making and shared responsibilities, particularly noting that whenever SPRIND and Contractor are marked as directly responsible (R), the Contractor is responsible for the U.S. side while aligning with SPRIND.
