About this file
This Statement of Work defines requirements for procuring a complete spectroradiometer measurement system for the FDA consisting of three integrated components: a high-precision spectroradiometer, specialized lens for near-eye displays, and control/analysis software.
The spectroradiometer must feature a wavelength range of 380-780 nm minimum with a back-thinned and cooled CCD detector containing at least 512 elements. Key performance specifications include wavelength accuracy less than 0.5 nm, luminance accuracy within ±3%, spectral resolution under 5 nm, stray light below 0.06%, and sensitivity of minimum 5×10⁻⁵ cd/m² with a 2-degree internal aperture. The unit must include variable internal apertures (2 degrees, 1 degree, and 0.1-0.25 degrees), an integrated neutral density filter, and USB connectivity, with dimensions under 20 cm × 36 cm × 36 cm and weight under 10 kg. The specialized lens for AR/VR displays must have a focal length of 30-50 mm, fixed pupil diameter between 3-5 mm, adjustable focus from 300 mm to infinity, and luminance accuracy within ±3%. The software must control spectroradiometer operations, acquire and display measurements, analyze data, export to Excel/ASCII formats, and provide SDKs or command-line support compatible with Python, MATLAB, and Windows 10 or later. All equipment must be new and non-refurbished with factory calibration prior to delivery, calibration certificates provided, minimum 1-year warranty, and ongoing recalibration support including on-site services at the FDA facility. Quotes must include itemized pricing for each component with all shipping and handling costs included.
