Performance Measure Reporting: CDC programs must require grantees to submit performance measures annually as a minimum, and may require reporting more frequently. Performance measure reporting must be limited to data collection. When funding is awarded initially, CDC programs must specify required reporting frequency, data fields, and format.

Performance Measure Updates:

As discussed on the September 10, 2015 National Tobacco Control Program call, OSH has clarified the public housing performance measure:
Original Performance Measure in the FOA

Clarified Performance Measure

Outcome: Proportion of public housing tenants that report exposure to secondhand smoke at home (Annual Progress Report)
Outcome: Proportion of public housing residents that are not protected by smoke-free building policies (Annual Progress Report)

This performance measures is an extension of the benchmark on the total number of total Public Housing Authorities, as well as the total number with smoke-free building policies. The primary intent of measuring the number of public housing units and residents that are protected by smoke-free building policies is to estimate the number who are fully protected from secondhand smoke incursions in their home, as well as the number who are potentially susceptible to such incursions because they are not protected by a smoke-free building policy. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your Project Officer.

Required Trainings and Conferences: Attending required trainings and conferences is critical for building and maintaining the skills of the staff with responsibility for carrying out the program requirements of this FOA. · Three persons to attend 3-day National Conference on Tobacco or Health.
