5. Reasons for Authority Cited:

a. The purpose of the SHARP program is to eliminate incidents of sexual assault through a comprehensive program that focuses on awareness and prevention, education. The overall benefits of in-person dialogue achieved during the USARLC RCT far outweighs the cost of the event. Additional benefits include face to face discussion from Judges, lawyers, paralegals and staff sections designed to improve mission capabilities. These benefits cannot be duplicated by other means. They demonstrate and practice hands on responses to victim advocacy, reporting, response, and follow up. No other company brings live actors/personnel to perform these services.

b. The training concept that Interactive Advocacy provides if not approved will not align with United State Army Reserve Legal Command Commanding General (USARLC CG) and commander SHARP program in providing diverse education on prevention of sexual harassment and sexual assault training in realistic ways. The Fort Hood Independent Review Committee (FHIRC) findings stated the need of reinforcing the importance to include the training, education and abilities of leaders at all levels to receive and respond appropriately to reports of sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Therefore, the training provided by Interactive Advocacy LLC provides leaders a different way of thinking that validates the need to effective training that leads to prevention within our ranks.
