About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for equipment calibration services at the Asphalt Lab in Columbus, Ohio. The project requires calibration of specialized laboratory equipment across two separate visits scheduled approximately six months apart: Visit #1 in Fall 2026 and Visit #2 in Spring 2027. During the first visit, bidders must provide calibration services for eleven pieces of equipment including Anton Paar Dynamic Shear Rheometers (DSRs), Cannon Bending Beam Rheometers (BBRs), Prentex Pressure Aging Vessels (PAVs), a Brookfield Rotational Viscosity device, Cox & Sons Rolling Thin Film Ovens (RTFOs), and an ATS Vacuum Degassing Oven, all to be performed in accordance with AASHTO specifications. The second visit in Spring 2027 requires calibration of fourteen pieces of equipment, adding an additional Cox & Sons RTFO unit, a Prentex Vacuum Degassing Oven, and an Anton Paar DSR #4 to the list. All calibration must be performed onsite at the Columbus location using NIST-traceable calibration equipment with current calibration records.
Bidders must submit proposals for all equipment line items to be considered responsive, with no partial bids accepted. The calibration services must comply with applicable AASHTO specifications, including T-315, T-350, and T-316 standards for the specialized DSR equipment. No pricing information, set-asides, incumbent contractor details, or funding sources are specified in this Scope of Work document.

All calibration equipment must be NIST traceable with up-to-date calibration records. To be considered successful bid, you must bid on all lines that are provided.
Visit #1 in the Fall of 2026
1. Calibration of Anton Paar DSR #1 to AASHTO Specification
2. Calibration of Anton Paar DSR #2 to AASHTO Specification
3. Calibration of Cannon BBR #1 to AASHTO Specification
4. Calibration of Cannon BBR #2 to AASHTO Specification
5. Calibration of Prentex PAV #1 to AASHTO Specification
6. Calibration of Prentex PAV #2 to AASHTO Specification
7. Calibration of Brookfield RV #1 to AASHTO Specification
