STATEMENT OF WORK FOR:

REPLACE COMMUNICATION CABLING AND CONDUIT REPAIRS

AT FRIENDSHIP HILL NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE

1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to evaluate the current deficiencies and make repairs to correct as necessary.

2. TECHNICAL_REQUIREMENTS: The Contractor shall provide all the necessary labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision to meet all the following requirements:

Provide a minimum of 5 working day notice of intent to start work.

All work/treatments shall comply with the customers’ requirements.

Provide appropriate signage (as needed) to control pedestrian traffic though/near the work area

A: INSTALLATION, TESTING, CONNECTING, & REPAIRS

This project will address approximately 2100 LF of work to include the inspection of current conduit and repair and replace only as necessary, replace current copper wiring with new 25-Pair copper cable, adding new fiber optics, and all the proper and necessary connections, and all testing for proper operation.

In summary:

1. The old copper cabling will be removed from the conduit and replaced with new 25-Pair copper cabling.

2. The conduit will be evaluated for damage. If any damage requires repair, it will be completed on a as needed basis. This Scope will cover conduit replacement of up to 150 feet, up to 3 inches in diameter.

3. Installation of up to 3 new pull boxes

4. New fiber cabling will be installed in the existing conduit and telephone and internet connections will be restored to the buildings.

5. Cabling connections will be terminated as appropriate

3: SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work shall be completed during hours of normal Park operations M-F (7:00AM to 5:00 PM.)

Any work that is outside normal operating hours or on a holiday will need approval from the Contracting Officer prior to.

4: POINTS OF CONTACT:

The Contractor Manager or an alternate shall be available within ninety (90) minutes’ notice during normal duty hours, 7:30AM to 4:15PM, to speak with Government personnel to discuss any problems encountered at the work site. Contractor will supply National Park Service - Contacting Officer’s representative (COR) with phone number for contacting purposes.

5: PERFORMANCE PERIOD:

All work shall be completed within a (90) calendar day period, excluding holidays.

6: INSPECTION / ACCEPTANCE OF PROJECT COMPLETION:

The cabling will be inspected for stable and reliable communications of all systems at the Maintenance building.

Any conduit repairs and/or pull boxes installations will be inspected prior to being reburied to ensure proper connections at any joints.
