About this file

This is a Rate Sheet (Exhibit B-1) for a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) invitation to bid for backflow prevention devices maintenance, testing, inspection, certification, and repair services at the California Institution for Women (CIW) in Corona, California. The scope of work encompasses all labor, supplies, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, insurance, and associated expenses necessary to provide comprehensive backflow prevention device services. The rate sheet establishes three primary service categories: annual maintenance, testing, inspection and certification services for an estimated 88 backflow devices with 3 estimated services per unit annually; repair services divided into regular business hours and emergency repair rates with estimated hours of 792 for regular repairs and 48 for emergency repairs; and certification/retest services during normal business hours with 264 estimated hours. Bidders are required to complete all highlighted cells in the Excel version of the rate sheet and must bid on each item, with zero-dollar amounts interpreted as performing services at no cost to the State.

Pricing must be submitted in U.S. currency and shall include all expenses necessary to perform the services, with travel time and per diem to be included in the hourly rates rather than billed separately. The rate sheet includes a fixed parts allocation of $10,000.00 for the term of the agreement, and the total agreement amount is calculated as the sum of items A (annual maintenance), B (repair services), and C (parts). Bidders may offer a discount on invoices to facilitate payment within 30 days of receipt, with a minimum discount of one percent of the invoice amount and a minimum of $50.00; in the event of tie bids, the highest discount offered will prevail. The State reserves the right to omit portions of work as deemed necessary and does not guarantee that actual work will match the estimated quantities provided.
