The Abbott chemistry testing platform is the only system that is compatible with PSHCS’s existing high-volume Abbott analyzers. By integrating this family of analyzers, PSHCS can utilize an automated line that will allow for sample loading of all assays at one central point. Through centralization of sample loading, PSHCS can reduce the number of staff that is required for a decentralized system. No other vendor can provide a compatible track line that will integrate these discrete analyzers. As of now, each analyzer requires one, or more, designated medical technologist to operate it.
