About this file
This memorandum provides a limited source justification to acquire Glenair high pressure fittings from an authorized reseller on a brand name basis. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division requires the fittings for upgrading hyperbaric test equipment, facilities atmospheric control, life support and physiological systems at the Navy Experimental Diving Unit. The fittings include penetrator and plug cable assemblies and splash proof caps that are a critical component of experimental diving facility chambers, where one chamber is already installed with the exact Glenair fittings. Glenair, Inc. is identified as the sole manufacturer of these proprietary items, for which no other vendor has the rights, parts or molds to manufacture. The contracting officer has determined this purchase from an authorized reseller represents the best value.
