About this file
This memorandum provides a brand name justification for the acquisition of CIRCOR Aerospace relief valves from an authorized reseller. The Naval Sea Systems Command requires five CIRCOR Aerospace relief valves, including models 532T1-6DB-2, 532T1-4DB-2, and 232T1-2PP-1. The solicitation will utilize simplified acquisition procedures for a total value above the micro-purchase threshold but not exceeding $250,000. Delivery is required within 19 weeks of order receipt. The justification cites that only CIRCOR Aerospace brand relief valves can meet the needs of the MK1101 program, and no substitutes are allowed for manufacturer, part number, or material. Accordingly, the contracting officer has determined this purchase from an authorized CIRCOR Aerospace reseller represents the best value to the Government. The related federal contract opportunity is a small business set-aside solicitation from the Department of the Navy seeking authorized resellers of CIRCOR Aerospace relief valves.
