About this file

This is a Statement of Objectives (SOO) for the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) program managed by Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division.

The contractor is required to provide environmentally controlled storage for eight specific electronic components that support production of SBC3511-5AMY circuit card assemblies. These parts have been designated as Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and were procured by the government to maintain supply continuity for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) producing AEA avionics subsystems. The components include various integrated circuits, transformers, resistors, and memory modules, each identified by both manufacturer part number and Abaco facility part number. The government will conduct all counterfeit inspections and testing prior to delivery of parts to the contractor's facility, and no technical data will be provided for this tasking. The contractor must maintain the parts in an environmentally controlled facility at the Abaco location for fulfillment of OEM procurement orders.

2.0 BACKGROUND

The Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Fleet Support Team (FST) at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has been designated as the responsible agency for managing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material

Shortages (DMSMS) for AEA avionics. The AEA FST was notified that the parts listed in Table 1 had been designated as DMSMS and procured stock in order to support manufacturing of the 3511 Single Board Computer

(SBC). Since the production of avionics subsystems are conducted by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), the parts stock will require storage at the Abaco facility for when the OEMs place procurement orders.
