About this file
This is a Statement of Work for the acquisition of a SoloVPE Plus spectrophotometer by the USDA. The government seeks to procure an instrument capable of measuring highly concentrated samples without dilution, using slope-based measurements and requiring no reference standard for quantitation. The device must operate across a sample range from less than 20 µL to 2.5 mL, support multiple wavelengths and pathlengths through a single method, and achieve a maximum pathlength of 15.000 mm with slope repeatability of ≤2% RSD.
The instrument must incorporate a Fibrette Optical component constructed of fused silica and polyimide for UV-VIS measurements spanning wavelengths between 190 nm and 1100 nm, and must be GMP compliant. Buffer or background correction is required only in special circumstances. The contractor must deliver the equipment to USDA, 1920 Dayton Avenue, Ames, IA 50010, within 60 days of award. Evaluation will be based on technical capability using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable approach. For technical inquiries, contractors should contact Anna Dash at 515-337-6838 or anna.c.dash@usda.gov. No government-furnished equipment is provided for this procurement.
